Double digits!!!!

It is hard to believe this little bundle of joy is 10 today! She is as sweet and sassy now as she was then. We love you, Emma Noodle!
April, 2002
Just a few weeks old!
Enjoying her new iPod touch!  She has been saving up for one since Christmas.  With the money she saved, added to the gift cards and cash received for her birthday, Emma was able to buy it last night.

This is what Emma will look like for the next few weeks!  Before bed tonight, she checked her new weather app and told me she would be wearing jeans tomorrow, as it will only be 61 degrees with a possibility rain.  Good to know!!!

Like kids in a candy shop . . .

Emma celebrated her 10th birthday with a few friends at a candy shop this afternoon.  Pretty much stress free for me:  six girls, scavenger hunt map, 32 pieces of candy found per girl, scoops of gelato, sugar rush all around!  One girl told me it was the "best party ever!"  You should have seen the looks on their faces when they were told they could keep the candy they found!!  Woo hoo!  Score one for mom!!!
"We get to keep the candy?!" Some were more excited than others.  Hattie, the one wearing white, did a little dance upon hearing the news!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the original version, runs on a non-stop loop in the store.  Mom and Katy were sitting this one out in front of the TV.  Katy's prize for attending the party was a rather large root beer float. She was too full to enjoy a gelato at the end of the festivities!

View when you walk in . . .
Dentists could make an easy living in the empty space next door!

Emma waiting to have her goody bag checked for accuracy.

Taking a break to eat gelato.

All sugared up and ready to run off their energy at a park!

Easter Greetings!

We woke up to an absolutely beautiful Sunday morning!  The fact that it was Easter was just a solid chocolate bunny in the basket.  (Already ate mine!!)  We hope you had as lovely a day as we did.

Love these dapper bunnies!  They were a gift from my Grandma Childers, given to me many, many years ago.  Looks like they were made in 1971--back when they were still manufactured in Meredith, New Hampshire, not China!  They are Annalee Dolls and mine are not nearly as frightening as those on the website, thankfully.  It is just not Easter without the "hoppy" couple!  (I also like the sugar eggs--my mom used to make them for us.)

My cute girls! The bear does not look too bad, either.

My family looks goood!
We took a Sunday drive to Lucky Peak.  Check out the water--it is spring in Boise!  Woo Hoo!

I might admit to "liking" this one of me.  Maybe.
