Here she is--our newly "bedazzled" daughter. It took all of about 30 seconds to get it done. We all met Grammy at the Merle Norman store in the mall for the event. After picking out the style of stud she liked best, the young woman working at the counter marked Katy's ears for placement. She then prepared two piercing guns and enlisted the help of another employee to make it happen. They pierced both ears at once! (They must do that to keep the girls from running away after the pain of the first one) Katy remained calm the entire time. Not even a flinch. She is one tough chick! You look lovely honey!

Hi Katy, congratulations! Enjoy your pierced ears, I do mine. It's a lot of work at first with cleaning and turning, but very important for healing properly. The hardest part for me was waiting until 6 months were up before I could wear a dangling or hanging earring. I gave all my clip-ons away and have every section of my jewlry box set with 2-3 pairs in each little square. Every trip we go on now entails a search, not only for the gold charm of that place or the ornament of our trip but the perfect pair of earrings. Your Papa just rolls his eyes and says "Here we go again in search of the 'Holy Grail'." He's funny! I said he should get an ear pierced, but he won't. Enough about us, more about you! Enjoy and know that they look beautiful on you.
Love, hugs and kisses,
Grandma
Thank you, Grandma (:
